Wake Up Sleepy Head

I could only imagine how many people have been driving down the highway and at one point start getting sleepy while driving. For sure many have died because of it, along with passengers as well. You really don’t know how far you’ve traveled while you’re body is in that state and when your body wakes up, you can be fortunate to be alive. Back in the 1970’s, while heading back to Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune In North Carolina, I had fallen asleep at one point during my 4 hour travel back to base. When I suddenly woke up, I was slamming on the brakes in the middle of an intersection. No one was hurt but I’ll never forget that moment. Life is like that in so many ways. People on every hand are falling asleep as they travel down life’s road. They never know the danger that is before them when they wake up. I believe with all my heart that God has a spiritual alarm clock that goes off and most people don’t even hear it. Does this sound familiar in your life? We have alarms going off in our lives everyday and we just go on with our life and ignore them. It could be health, finances, worries of every sort, and all of these have their place. The most important is in your spiritual life. God made us in His image and in His likeness. We are His creation and He cares for us.
