The Wrong Way:

The Lord told Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach to them concerning their sin. Nineveh was a wicked city and Jonah did not want to go so instead of obeying God Jonah went in the opposite direction toward Tarshish. He tried to run from God’s presence as long as he could but God knew how to get his attention. As the story goes, after spending three days in a great fish belly and being thrown up on dry ground, God speaks to Jonah a second time. At that point Jonah makes his way to Nineveh as God had commanded him and as a result the whole city turned to God and the city was spared. How many times has God spoken to you and you ignored Him or perhaps went in the opposite direction? This question is not just to the Christian, it is to all whom God has spoken whether saved or lost. We serve a patient God indeed but when will that line be crossed when God says it’s enough? Jesus is still tenderly calling my friend so with that I say “Have you listened to Him and His call upon your life”? Don’t delay any longer for tomorrow might be too late. God is calling so are you listening and furthermore are you obeying Him. May God bless in your decision for Him. May God bless you real good!!
