The Olive Leaf:

Everyone remembers the story about the Noah and the flood. Noah and his family had been on the ark for over six months or more. Noah had to know if the ground was dry enough to leave the ark so he used a couple of birds. He sent out a raven and he also sent out a dove which was gone for a while and eventually returned. After a week had passed Noah sent the dove out again and this time when it returned, it had an olive leak plucked off. That may not sound like much to you but their is much to be said about the olive branch. The olive branch is a symbol of peace. It has been said that when the dove returned the second time with an olive leave in its possession, that it was proof that the earth had come back to life again. Now let's move forward approximately 2000 years to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus would oftimes go to pray. Jesus had been in deep prayer that night for He knew the hour had come for Him to die for the sins of the world. The name Gethsemane means "olive press" and it was that night that Jesus prayed in such a way that it was as great drops of blood falling from His face. Jesus had all the sins of the world pressing down upon Him as if to crush Him. Jesus paid that price for our sins. He brought peace thru the cross. He died because He Loves You. Are U His?
