Have you ever planned a trip somewhere and felt like you might be making a mistake in going? Furthermore you felt as though God Himself was warning you to be careful in your decision to go? I learned before and during a trip we recently took that prayer really pays off when you seek God for guidance. Indeed I was very nervous about a road trip we were about to take and it was The Lord who showed me His presence along the way.
We’ve recently traveled to Salem, Massachusetts for a few days on what you might call a quick getaway. A minimum of twelve hours one way so I didn’t drive all the way in one drive. We’ve never been there before so the experience was very educational to say the least. One thing I wanted to point out was how God was repeatedly reminding me to seek Him as I traveled along the way. God knew everything that was before us and without Him we possibly might not have made it back as safely as we did. This is the trip we will always remember how God spared us twice from certain death if He had not intervened on our behalf as He did. Prayer is an essential part of being a Christian and without it can only lead to uncertainty. I’ll end with this thought: “The God we serve has total knowledge of all things whether past, present or future. He Knows What We Don’t.” You can trust God!!
