Just One More Time:

This morning in the 21st Chapter of John we find Jesus is on the shoreline and the familiar words He uses to encourage His disciples to eat, "Come and Dine." Peter and some other disciples had fished all night and caught nothing. They were about ready to end their "no catch" fishing for the night when Jesus told them to drop the nets on the right side of the boat. They did as they were told and caught 153 fish in their nets. This is a picture of the Christian who may toil for a very long time trying to witness Christ to a world that just won't listen. Then, in the stillness of the night you hear the Holy Spirit say to your heart "Do it one more time." We travel about in life's sea and are tired of being beaten and battered by what the world throws at us, but ever so often we can hear a voice from the shore that says "Come and Dine." Sometimes it may be a word of encouragement from another Christian to keep on keeping on for it will be worth it after a while. The Lord is full aware of what's going on around us so I say "Trust God." He has something prepared for us and it will be worth it all soon. YES, it will be worth it when we see his face and sing the song of His Amazing Grace. The half has yet been told what God has ready for His people who trust Him. Carry on dear Christian.
