Heaven’s Worth It All

Updated: Nov 12, 2020

Recently I lost a friend who was unexpectedly taken from us and was ushered into the presence of the Lord. I will withhold his name for the sake of the family as they grieve in lieu of his home going. He himself would declare that even though he was not perfect, he indeed served a God who was. My friend taught me that in the most trying times of life, to be faithful to your God and be humble before others, for love covers a multitude of sins. He taught me that it is much easier to use your tongue with a short prayer to God than to stretch it in sin and end up having to wrap it around an altar 22 times in repentance to a Holy God. He taught me that being a friend is done so by being friendly. He taught me that many times a short laugh is better than a long cry and that as beauty is only skin deep, stop looking in the mirror for it’s not helping you any. God made you who you are so you can trust Him. Finally, among many things that I might can add, I’ll end with this: He taught me that because of folks like him, Heaven is surely worth waiting for. Not only will I see him again, but I’ll see the One who saved him, for that same One also saved my soul. Folks, Heaven will be worth it all one day. God bless
