Having The Time of Your Life

Recently I was asked by someone if I was having the time of my life yet. I just gave them a “thumbs up“ and went on about my business. Yet my heart was speaking another thought as he walked away. I begin to think about the words of a gospel song of years ago. The words went something like this: “I'm gonna let the glory roll when the roll is called in glory I'll gonna get beside of myself when I get beside the king that day“ We live in a world where not too many people are really happy and can say they are having the time of their lives. People are looking toward so many directions for happiness and none of them last. Your money runs out, the car runs out of gas, your friends find other friends, somebody else gets that better job. We could go on and on but I believe you get the idea. Each of us make decisions each day about one thing or another, but the most important decision you’ll ever make is that of eternity. Folks, I’m here to encourage you that God is still in control of what’s going on and you can trust Him today. There is nothing too hard for Him to handle in your life. Don’t give up my friend because standing somewhere in the shadows you’ll find Jesus. All those things I mentioned earlier may let you down but Jesus is an ever present help in a time of trouble. Turn to Jesus today while He may be found. May God bless!!
