God Still Changes Things:

(Approx. 2 1/2 minute read:)

GENESIS 1:1-5

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day...

As we read those first five verses of Genesis 1, we are immediately drawn into the creation story. God tells us of His creating the heaven and the earth as well as the division of light and darkness. But their is so much more here to be seen and I believe God did so purposely. The ultimate goal of scripture is to reveal God’s Love to a sinful world. Verses 2-4 give to us God’s plan of Salvation firsthand. Take note that before a person becomes a Christian they are without any form or beauty. Their life is empty without any form of Godliness at all. Everything around them is total darkness. But yet as the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters during the beginning of creation back then, He does so as well in the darkness of your sinful life before you become a Christian. When the Spirit of God moved back then upon those waters in verse two something was about to take place. A change was about to happen to this dark and shapeless earth. When the Spirit of God begins to move upon the heart of a soul that knows not God then a change is on its way. Everything in creation obeyed the voice of God when He spoke and oh... what a beautiful earth God made indeed. Folks, when a person who knows not God obeys the voice of God as He calls them from darkness to light, a beautiful change takes place in that life. And it’s a change only God can do. Does God’s presence abide within you today? Have you yielded to the voice of God as He has spoken to you? Are you on your way to Heaven? I pray you are today. May God Bless!!
