Acts 5:1-2 (KJV)
1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
This is a story that still represents many people today. Wanting everyone to see what it looks like they are doing for God, yet inside their heart they know they are lying. But what they tend to forget is that they are not just lying to man, they are lying to God. God is keeping a record of everything and nothing will be hid. That is true of everything that pertains to our Christian life. Oh... how we need to stay close to God. The Psalmist David spoke of being in the Shadow of the Almighty. In order to be in the shadow of someone, you have to be close to them. How close are we to God? Do people see God in us or have we got something to hide. Folks, their are no secrets with God for He knows all things. This may not sound like much encouragement to you but the truth is we don’t have long to make things right. We’re not promised another day. If this is you then don’t delay any longer and give God a try. He won’t let you down. If you know the Lord and you’ve drifted away, He loves you and wants you to return back to Him. Do it today and God bless!
