Not long after I woke up this morning I decided to check the weather for the day. I noticed that rain was in the forecast and it appeared to be scattered across the region. When I looked outside it was not raining as yet so I knew I hopefully had a chance to get certain things done before it began. I think to myself that being prepared is always a good thing even if your not sure how long you have. Unfortunately I have to admit that many times I am a procrastinator when it comes to being prepared and at times I’ve had to pay the cost. Did you know that God has given to us a spiritual forecast of things to come? As I looked up the weather this morning to prepare myself for the day, God expects us to daily look up the weather of God’s Word so as to prepare us for what’s heading our way. He has made the signs very clear as to what to expect. As God prepares the rain in His season, He also prepares ready signs for us of things to come. If we don’t keep in God’s Word, we’ll miss them and all the warning signs that come with it. I say Blessed be the name of The Lord for His Word as it guides us day by day. The Bible teaches us that above the very Name of God His Word is Magnified (Psalms 138:2). Folks, let’s be prepared for what’s coming our way according to God’s Word. Above everything we need, knowing Him as Lord and Savior of our lives is a must. Call on the Name of the Lord and thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:13).
