For A Season:

Today as I was doing my daily bible reading, I come across something that caught my attention. I couldn't tell you how many times that I have read this story concerning the temptation of Christ. In Luke chapter 4 we find this story and it never ceases to amaze me how the Lord Jesus handled everything the devil threw at Him. The Lord would always use the Word of God as He answered the devil, so the devil failed in every attempt. What caught my attention is found in Luke 4:13 which says: "And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from Him for a season. (KJV). The devil did to Jesus exactly as he does to each and everyone of us today in that when you think he's done tempting us... don't fret...he'll be back. Satan is going about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. It's been said that each of us have a great big target on us somewhere, and the devil is aiming directly at it. Yes, you can rest assured the devil will be back. Jesus used the Word of God against the devil, what do you use? We can't fight the devil on our own, but we can fight him with the Word of God. In order to do so you need to have the Word of God in your heart. (Psalms 119:11) Ye must be born again. If you don't know Jesus, call on Him today. He's waiting...
