Everyday that we live on this earth we are adding to the backlog of events in our lives that can never be removed. Once the past becomes “past“ it becomes unchangeable in the future. I see people who desire to erase historical events of the past. When I see these people I can’t help but think of Satan speaking to Eve in the Garden of Eden as he questions to her “Hath God really said…??? Those trying to unravel the past is nothing new as it began in the very beginning of time as we know it. No it didn’t start with man, it started with Satan the father of all liars. With all of this being said, I have Good News for you, in that, no matter what our past hold, God is able to perfect our future. I’m happy we serve a God who does all things well. I’ve made so many mistakes in my life that there is no way for me to count them and God has a record of every one. Yet as I think on these things my heart is comforted on a record that includes the time God forgave me of my sinful past. I’m Heaven bound with the hammer down. Yes, if I dwell on the past it will certainly “haunt” me but in Christ I can look into the future knowing I have been “healed“ by the Blood of our Lord Jesus. I hope you can say that today of your own life.
